Day 2... How Interesting This Trip Has Been

Hi, my name is Nikki, but they've been calling me Tigger. I will be a merchandising cast member. Also, to avoid future confusion for those who may not know, I am engaged to Kyle, or skl, and he is a custodian.

Thursday, the 4th of January, was a crazy day! Thomas and Becca had adventures of their own, including having the radiator hose bust on the Durango. Kyle and I had to leave earlier than expected so that everybody could get everything done. I had to go to the doctor and have prescriptions filled, as did Becca, and then we had to help get other stuff done. When we thought we were getting close to being ok, we found out that we wouldn't get any financial aid. The class that we thought would classify us as full time in fact does not. Yet another problem we had to fix. So, Kyle and I are still University of Mississippi students taking two online courses.

Well, here we are at Disney World. We have all checked in to our apartments (which are very nice) and are unpacked for the most part. Today, we checked in to the Disney College Program and received our work assignments. I will be working in the World of Disney, which is the largest store in Downtown Disney (with 10 separate rooms). We also got our guest passes today, but not our cast passes, which, considering our trip so far, makes perfect sense. Along with that, I got my schedule telling me that I am supposed to work next week: Monday from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 1:00 am, and Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 1:00 am. This we must change! I have to print a copy of my class schedule to prove that I am taking classes and take it to the education building to change my schedule. I can't handle working hours like that! That's crazy! Especially since I am the one of the five that wants to be in bed by 10:00 pm.

Tomorrow, we have traditions and then we receive our passes to the parks. I'm not sure about everybody else, but Kyle and I both have Thursday off, so we're going to play! So far, I have really enjoyed rooming with Jennifer. We both seem to enjoy the same things, so I think we will get along just fine! I love Jennifer! We will have so much fun!!!

Dwindling down,

So, it's getting down to the wire. Things are getting hectic now.

Things that are done on Becca and I's end, sorta:

Hotel booked
Uhaul reserved
Towels, board games, some clothes packed
Rats boarded out
Banjo taken care of
Durango washed and cleaned
Food just about thinned down to manageable levels

Headed down to visit and hug everybody before we leave tomorrow (Wednesday). Punky gets dropped off at Nanny's. :'( Then Thursday is gonna be REALLY hectic. Last minute things that gotta get done: prescriptions, tires, Uhaul pick-up, etc., plus it's 'sposed to rain...

One Little Monkey...

Hey, and thanks for visiting us Disney Monkeys! This is Jenn, and i'm one of "The Five" traveling to Orlando this Friday. Guess I'm also the first one to really introduce myself on here...weird.

Anyway, I will be working in a soon-to-be-disclosed location at Walt Disney World as a custodian. (I know, sounds really glamorous huh?) The great part is...It's the job I was hoping for! I mean, seriously, no supervisor over you, more outdoor work, a lot of guest contact. Plus I'm really looking forward to the manual, over mental, labor for a semester (Three years of college does that to you).
