'Cause I Can...

Teehee! :D

Hi-ya Everybody!

Hi, its me, Tigger. Yeah, I'm still a CP at Disney World, and yeah I have lots of experiences to share...I just haven't had time to. Between work, school, Kyle, cleaning, and having fun, who would have time to post? Well, here we go...
Since my last post, I have gotten settled into my job, which I really like now that I don't work until one in the morning. I have normal hours...well, for the most part. I do have a couple of days next week that I work late, but that's ok. World Of Disney is awesome and I love my managers and coworkers.
Kyle and I had a day off together and got to go to Magic Kingdom! I got to have my first Magic Kingdom experience with my baby! We rode the monorail into the park, which was interesting because it smelled funny. We rode Big Thunder Mountain and went to the Philhar-Magic. Philhar-Magic is awesome by the way. It's my favorite 3D show so far. We rode the train around the park and then went to Tomorrowland to go to Stitch's Great Escape. We also rode Pirates of the Caribbean and got to meet Captain Jack Sparrow in person!!! We went to Toontown and got to meet Mickey and even got a picture with him! Yay, I got to meet the head boss... He certainly is a busy little mouse! We also got to see the parade and we did a little shopping. I love the 40% discount! Finally, we decided to leave and we rode the Ferry back. It was kinda romantic-like because it was dark and the park lights in the background was awesome...especially since we were on the second floor of the ferry. I really enjoyed my first Magic Kingdom experience. Thank you, baby. I love you! Oh, I almost forgot about Howard. I met a duck that really seemed to like me and posed while I took pictures. So, I named him Howard.

Then, Kyle and I took Jennifer to her first visit to Magic Kingdom. She seemed to enjoy it, but unfortunately, we only had a couple of hours to do things before we had to leave. Kyle and I also went to Epcot together and rode Spaceship Earth...very interesting. We also watched "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience," which was hilarious, but not as good as "Philhar-Magic." We left Epcot early because the sky was really dark and we thought it was gonna rain.

There was the one day that I went to Animal Kingdom by myself to aggravate Becca...Mainly because Becca wanted to show me a jacket in one of the shops. It wasn't much fun alone, but I did like seeing the animals. I saw a monkey and it made me miss Kyle...

Jennifer and I went to Disney MGM Studios together! Girls only-ha ha! We saw Beauty and the Beast (the musical) and went to the Indiana Jones show, both of which I highly recommend! Afterwards, we just did a little shopping and left cuz I had to go to work. :(

The Thomas, Becca, Kyle, and I all got to go to Animal Kingdom together! Yay! We rode Expedition Everest four times in a row! It is and awesome ride, but after that fourth time, I had had enough. We wanted to see the Finding Nemo show, but it was closed for some reason. So we went to Dino Land and rode Dinosaur. It was a good ride but extremely loud. After that, we were trying to make it across to "It's Tough to be a Bug," but we got caught by the parade. Finally, we made it to the show, which was great, but still not as good as "Philhar-Magic."

The day that Thomas, Becca, and Jennifer went to MGM, Kyle and I went shopping and filled the cabinets with food and such. By the time we got back, it was time to get ready to go to Arabian Nights. That is the most awesome and memorable thing we've done the whole time! The horses were gorgeous and perfect...except backstage where we saw several of them cribbing. Bad habit for horses. The show was great! But if ya wanna know more, you'll hafta see it for yourself... Or some of it...

In between working, school, and everything else I've already listed, Kyle and I have been shopping at Downtown Disney on several occasions and have certainly added to our dvd collection a great deal! We are enjoying this experience and do not regret coming at all. But we do miss our families very much...and friends and horses and cats and goats and dogs...and the quiet simplicity of country living in general! We love ya'll and miss ya'll and hope to see you soon! Lots of love!

Nikki

"Excuse me, when is the 3 o'clock parade?"

You do not realize how often I am asked that. It's not even funny anymore. Well, I have been meaning to write for a while but...I keep getting sidetracked, sorry!

Lemme think now...I am still at MGM... I have been back as a "guest" a couple of times so I could learn the park better and it's helped...A LOT. Sometimes it's been a bit hectic but after I learn what I'm supposed to do it goes a lot better. There are still a lot of CP's arriving (college program people) so I'm meeting new people almost every day. I've even had to say goodbye to some of my friends already. The students from Brazil left yesterday, and three of them I had worked with since I got here. They helped show me around, gave me advice, and made work just a bit more fun.
Sweep streets, trash runs, cleaning restrooms and "protein spills". All in the life of a "showkeeper". We've had a few rainy days, a few cold mornings, but mainly it's been very nice.
Today was my first day as an "opener". I worked 6:30-12:30.
Some more tidbits:
--I've become a pin collector. (I'm only collecting pins from rides that I've been on that I liked. Kind of a momento type thing)
--Went with Nikki and Kyle on my first trip to the Magic Kingdom... last week? i think...
--Wandered Downtown Disney a couple of times, haven't been to Pleasure Island yet, although I was asked if I wanted to go to the House of Blues...Kinda scared to go though, cause that's mainly a partyin'/drinkin' part of Disney.
--Went to MGM with Nikki (girls day out, woohoo!), then with Becca and Thomas
--All 5 of us got to go to "Arabian Nights"(See the post below for pictures). It was my first dinner show, and it was AWESOME!
--I have tuesday/wednesday off again! I'm hoping that I can go with someone to see "Fantasmic!", I hear its wonderful!

Here's a couple more pics I "borrowed" from Thomas and Nikki's cameras. (My camera is on the fritz)

And, with Thomas acting like a paparazzi (Sport mode), our Rebel XT's three frames per second does some excellent work at the Lights, Motors, Action stunt show.

Then, this evening, all five of us (which is rare in and of itself), went to Arabian Nights dinner show. 'Twas a quite good and varied show.

The country girls were really missing their open pastures and equine friends tonight.....

That's about it for tonight. This is Thomas at Disney Monkey headquarters, signing off.

Becca needed a "mini vacation" this afternoon before she goes back to work tomorrow.

By the time we got there about 3:30 or so, it was about 75 degrees out, and the wind was strong, but the water really wasn't as cold as might be expected.

Besides being "Orlando's closest beach" (less than an hour and a half drive today), Cocoa also is good for bird watching and beach combing. It might look dirty in the pics, but the water is actually quite clear. It's the cocoa-colored sand that makes it look dirty, but it really is nice (much better than Biloxi!!!!!).

We're wet. We're cold. We're going home. Cya.
