Hi, my name is "Murphy," I believe you might have heard of my law??
My oh my, where to begin with the tales.
How about not being able to find a Uhaul trailer we could use anywhere near by until finally snagging one a few days before our trip?
Or about having to repair the wiring on the Uhaul trailer myself the day before we were supposed to leave because Uhaul did not know how?
Or about the Durango blowing a radiator hose on the way to pick up financial aid refunds the day before we were supposed to leave at 7am the next morning and the part will not be in until 10am from Alabama, while the Durango was in the same shop that morning getting new tires put on?
Or finding out in the tow truck from Disney that they needed a copy of Becca and I's marriage certificate?
Or being without a vehicle and still needing to run so many last-minute errands that Becca's mama and sister had to drive our Pathfinder back up and spend the night to help us pack and clean up?
Or needing to pack for the next day but not being able to load the Uhaul without it being hooked to the Durango because it wanted to roll away?
Or finding out at 4:30pm the day before we are supposed to leave after a half hour in line for said financial aid refunds that we DO NOT receive financial aid while on an internship, and our co-op/internship advisor just happened to leave that part out?
Or Nikki and Kyle having to debate whether they could still come after finding out that financial aid was not coming?
Or Becca and Jennifer finding a lost kitty at the mailbox two nights before we are supposed to leave, not finding her owner, her being so sweet and pretty that we decide we want to keep her, having to leave her with Rachel when we left for Disney, and trying to get this (now our second kitty) a boarding house for the semester until we can get back like our other cat, Punky, until finding out that Rachel has already released the kitty back outside?
Or our vacuum breaking down a while back and not getting it fixed until mama could take it down to Jackson after Christmas, right before New Years, and it getting fixed finally two days before we were leaving and not having a way to get it before we left?
Or how about finally getting away from Starkville at 2:30pm, as opposed to the planned 7am, and driving a long time until stopping for supper at Cracker Barrel somewhere in Alabama, afterwards deciding that our chosen route--apparently a two lane road-- just was not going to cut it through the night pulling a large trailer, and consequentially switching routes multiple times through-out the long, arduous night driving through Alabama and Florida on a very exhausting sixteen hour trip, only to find that we do not know when the sun rises this time of year in Florida and it being two hours later than expected?
Or the great joy in finding out around 8:30pm or so in the middle of our trip that I could not cancel our hotel reservation for the evening in Orlando because I booked it through Expedia/Hotels.com and the hotel itself could not cancel it and thus still being charged for it?
Or finally arriving at Disney at 7:30am and being told we are too early to check in and would have to go park across the street and wait a half hour?
Or bringing our paintball equipment and finding out once we arrive that paintball markers are "weapons" and would get us immediately expelled from the program, having to quickly find a solution, and having to rent a storage locker about 9 miles away for one small box for four months?
Or how about all the good things that have happened and been successful?
Like how we made it here safe and sound, without accidents, rain, drivers falling asleep, getting sick, and with all of our possessions safe and sound?
Or all of us being able to get a one-bedroom apartment by being the first group of cast members here for this semester instead of getting stuck in a two, three, or four bedroom with three, five, or seven other random strangers?
Or all of our apartments being clean, nice, and much higher quality than we were expecting and actually being able to unpack and feel almost like we are "home?"
Or all our paperwork and glitches work out without incident or delay--well, except maybe for Kyle--, and everybody getting a job they can be happy with?
Or Nikki and Kyle finally deciding to come and working out some of their financial aid by taking online classes?
Or Becca actually getting to work at Animal Kingdom which has been her dream the whole time?
Or all the Disney people through all our various check-ins and orientations and paper signings being so very friendly, helpful, and accommodating?
Or that Becca and I both have Wednesday off this week so I get to take her to Magic Kingdom for her first Disney experience?
Or God just allowing such a great opportunity for adventure to be available and good and guiding us all together down here safe, sound, and happy?
So, through three or four very long and taxing days that seemed to last an eternity, we have all survived. We have our job assignments, we have our apartments, and we have each other. We are at the beginning of a huge adventure, and we thank you for sharing it with us. Seacrest out.

OK... in the defense of everyone involved, the kitty has a home. And she's back there now, safe and sound. Banjo and I are getting along well. We miss you all and look forward to May when we can all be together again. (Don't you feel all warm and fuzzy inside now?)
I miss Thomas. I had barely gotten used to him not living with us anymore and now he's not even in the same state as we are anymore. I'm glad you made it safe and sound. Kiss Becca for me and I'll tell Punky you said hi.
